Frontend Developer

About the role

Join a small, highly capable engineering team within a global software business. You will build and maintain product features while providing first‑line engineering support during Australian off‑hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend features as part of a cross‑functional team.
• Serve as the primary engineering contact during Australian off‑hours, handling incident triage and remediation.
• Investigate production issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools, and produce clear handover documentation.
• Work with Kubernetes‑based workloads on AWS, diagnosing deployment, scaling, and runtime problems.
• Collaborate daily with the Australian team on handovers, sprint planning, technical alignment, and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in post‑incident reviews and drive long‑term reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Strong frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS production systems, including SQS and SES.
• Experience running workloads on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including debugging pod, container, and networking issues.
• Solid observability and diagnostics skills for distributed systems.
• Familiarity with production support workflows such as incident triage, escalation, and documentation.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to work independently across time zones.
