Frontend Developer – £510pd – 6‑Month Contract – Glasgow (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Front‑End Developer to join our team on a 6‑month contract, working hybrid from Glasgow. You will develop new features for our web applications, ensuring security and adherence to industry best practices while collaborating with designers, product owners and other developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new, secure features for web applications using modern front‑end technologies.
• Identify and resolve UI defects and design discrepancies in production and non‑production environments.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, providing training where needed.
• Anticipate project risks, propose operational improvements and ensure service stability.
• Translate wireframes and mock‑ups into functional user interfaces in partnership with UX specialists and service designers.

Required profile

• Commercial experience building front‑end solutions with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript practices, CI/CD pipelines and micro‑service design patterns.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to obtain SC clearance if not already held.
