Frontend Developer – React & AWS

About the role

You will join a small, highly capable engineering team building a platform used by some of the world’s largest enterprises. The role combines feature development with production support, giving you autonomy and visibility across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front‑end product features using React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Provide first‑line engineering coverage during Australian off‑hours, handling incidents within UK working hours.
• Investigate production issues using logs, metrics and monitoring tools; perform incident triage, remediation and handover documentation.
• Debug and optimise Kubernetes‑based workloads on AWS, including Amazon EKS, SQS and SES services.
• Collaborate daily with the Australian team on sprint planning, handovers and technical alignment.
• Contribute to post‑incident reviews and long‑term reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Strong front‑end engineering experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS production systems, particularly SQS for message processing and SES for transactional email.
• Proven experience running workloads on Kubernetes/EKS and troubleshooting pod, container and networking issues.
• Solid observability and diagnostics skills, including log aggregation and metrics analysis.
• Familiarity with production support workflows such as incident triage, escalation and documentation.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to work independently across time zones.
