Full Stack Developer – Laravel & React Native

About the role

Housr is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help scale its student‑rental platform. You will work on both backend and frontend components, contributing to new revenue streams and improving the experience for students, parents, and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Develop frontend experiences with React, Next.js, and React Native (Expo).
• Operate within an AWS environment (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS).
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams, owning features from concept to delivery.
• Maintain a clean, modular codebase backed by MySQL.
• Review code, share knowledge, and help define best practices.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) in the development workflow while applying solid engineering judgement.

Required profile

• ~3+ years of commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer, preferably in a startup or scale‑up.
• Comfortable working across the stack, with a slight bias toward either backend or frontend.
• Passionate about code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Proactive, ambitious, and eager to see real‑world impact from your work.
• Enjoys a collaborative, close‑knit engineering culture where every voice is heard.
