Full Stack Engineer (iOS & Android)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated full‑stack engineer to help us build and ship mobile applications for iOS and Android. The position is unpaid, 30 hours per week, and fully remote, offering a hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving early‑stage startup.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and maintain existing code for the PanPals app and upcoming products.
• Write cross‑platform code using Flutter or React Native, handling platform‑specific adaptations where needed.
• Read and translate existing Swift logic into the shared codebase.
• Integrate with Firestore for real‑time data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and co‑founders to turn product briefs into functional releases.

Required profile

• Current CS student or equivalent academic background seeking real‑world mobile development experience.
• Highly autonomous, able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to commit approximately 30 hours per week on an unpaid basis.

Required skills

• Flutter or React Native for iOS and Android development.
• Ability to read and understand Swift code.
• Familiarity with Firestore or other NoSQL databases (nice‑to‑have).
• Understanding of platform‑specific nuances and shared code management.
