Full-Stack Software Engineer – Inference

About the role

Cohere is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to help shape the next generation of its inference platform. You will work on core services that power the self‑serve API used by enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Improve authentication, billing, and payment infrastructure.
• Add new interactive features to the Playground where users experiment with models.
• Implement platform capabilities for managing model deployments.
• Write minimal, high‑performance code that runs in low‑resource environments with strict deployment requirements.
• Design custom solutions when security or privacy constraints prevent use of standard libraries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Hands‑on experience building payment or subscription‑based SaaS systems.
• Comfortable working across the full stack and fixing issues outside the main code base.
• Background in both large enterprises and fast‑moving startups.
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, priority‑driven environment.
