About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Year 2 teacher to join the Key Stage 1 team at a welcoming primary school in Camden. The role is full‑time, based on‑site, and offers the chance to work in a supportive environment with strong leadership and professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for KS1 SATs using supportive and motivating approaches.
- Use assessment data to monitor progress and close learning gaps.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment framework.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to differentiate learning for varying abilities.
- Positive and engaging teaching style.
- Based locally in Camden.

What we offer
- Competitive MPS/UPS salary dependent on experience (£198‑£320 per day).
- Fixed‑term contract for one year with potential extension.
- Working hours 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
