Fund Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK real estate developer and asset manager to recruit a Fund Accountant for its finance team in London. The role provides end‑to‑end accounting and financial support across third‑party investment and development structures, offering broad exposure to fund, property and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodic management accounts and related management information.
• Produce annual statutory financial statements using accounts preparation software.
• Manage external audit processes and prepare consolidated lender reports.
• Produce bank covenant reporting and compliance confirmations.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company balance reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Support VAT and CIS compliance requirements, including registrations where required.
• Review and process reports from external property managers and generate property‑related accounting journals.
• Maintain tenancy schedules, rent deposit records and prepare service‑charge reconciliations.
• Assist with payment runs alongside the Accounts Payable team and support cash‑flow management activities.
• Support acquisitions, disposals and financial due‑diligence exercises.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and property‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalist, newly qualified or fully qualified accountant.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of FRS102 and UK statutory reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong Excel capability.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with a flexible approach.
