Gas Engineer – Domestic Installations (South East England)

About the role

Sanctuary Group is seeking a motivated Gas Engineer to join its South East Gas team. You will deliver high‑quality gas installation, service and repair work for domestic properties across Sussex and Kent, working alongside experienced engineers and apprentices.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out domestic gas boiler and central heating installations, commissioning and maintenance.
• Diagnose faults, perform breakdown repairs and respond to service requests.
• Provide clear progress updates and advice to customers, completing accurate daily work records.
• Handle complaints and breakdowns promptly, keeping customers informed in line with contract specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment and stock levels according to requisition procedures and budgets.
• Contribute to special programmes and projects that support the Group’s values and objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 Unvented – G3 Certificate.
• Holding a Water Regulations Energy Efficiency (WRAS) qualification or equivalent.
• Committed to full compliance with Building Safety legislation.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Gas boiler and central heating installation.
• Fault finding and breakdown diagnosis for gas systems.
• Maintenance and commissioning of gas central heating equipment.
• Knowledge of CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 standards.
• Understanding of WRAS water regulations.
