GCP Platform Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced GCP Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain a modern, automated cloud platform on Google Cloud. You will work closely with software and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure and highly‑available infrastructure while shaping technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Automate provisioning and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Manage Kubernetes/GKE clusters and containerised workloads.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Drive platform reliability, security and best‑practice adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, GKE and container technologies.
• Experience with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python or Go).
• Understanding of networking, IAM and cloud security principles.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling.
• Desirable: GitOps practice, Prometheus/Grafana, platform‑engineering or SRE background, GCP certifications.
