General Manager – Care Home

About the role

Avery Healthcare Group is looking for a General Manager to lead Ascot Grange Care Home in Ascot. The role is responsible for delivering person‑centred, high‑quality care while meeting regulatory and business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care based on best practice.
• Oversee recruitment, retention and development of staff within the home.
• Serve as the primary contact for residents, families, visitors and health‑social care professionals.
• Maintain safe staffing levels aligned with occupancy and resident dependency.
• Provide inspirational leadership and management to the care team.
• Manage costs within budgetary controls, regularly reviewing and monitoring stock.

Required profile

• Live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.
• Minimum four years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Leadership and Management Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Current NMC registration (preferred).
• Excellent leadership and management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover responsibilities at short notice.
