General Manager

About the role

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated General Manager to lead our award‑winning team at Ascot Grange Care Home. You will shape a caring, supportive environment where residents receive person‑centred, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire staff to deliver excellent, person‑centred care while meeting regulatory and statutory standards.
• Oversee recruitment, retention, and development of the home’s workforce.
• Act as the primary contact for residents, families, visitors, and health‑social care professionals.
• Maintain safe staffing levels aligned with occupancy and resident dependency.
• Manage costs, monitor stock, and ensure budgets are adhered to.

Required profile

• Minimum four years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Leadership and Management Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Current NMC registration (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and IT competency.
• Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
