About the role

The General Manager will partner closely with shareholders to drive the next phase of growth for a well‑established, family‑owned multi‑site restaurant business. This senior leadership position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational involvement across several locations.

Key responsibilities

• Build on existing success while strengthening organisational capability, leadership depth and operational consistency.
• Work directly with shareholders to shape long‑term resilience and commercial strategy.
• Lead from the front, spending time on the floor with teams and customers.
• Oversee seven‑day operations, ensuring performance during peak trading periods and weekends.
• Travel regularly across multiple sites within reasonable commuting distance of Leeds.
• Maintain commercial and financial discipline, delivering profitability and growth.
• Develop high‑performing leadership teams and create clear, confident organisational culture.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading multi‑site operations, preferably in hospitality or service‑led environments.
• Experience managing seven‑day restaurant or QSR operations with an understanding of peak periods and customer service pressures.
• Strong commercial and financial credibility.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor high‑performing leadership teams.
• Strategic thinker who can also deliver operational results.
• Excellent relationship‑building, emotional intelligence and the maturity to work effectively with shareholders.
• Leadership style that balances accountability, humility, authenticity and respect for organisational culture.
