General Operator – Swindon (Full‑time, 12‑month contract)

About the role

As a General Operator you will support critical manufacturing and production processes within a regulated life‑sciences environment in Swindon. The position is on‑site, full‑time on a 12‑month contract and offers a shift allowance on top of the base rate.

Key responsibilities

• Gain and maintain a Bronze License Badge for production area access (Grade C/D).
• Follow gowning and cleaning procedures for aseptic and non‑aseptic areas.
• Perform cleaning activities in line with SOPs.
• Support materials handling and transfer into classified production areas.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are within expiry dates.
• Maintain equipment and production areas according to cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Operate airlocks and assist with autoclave and part‑washer processes after training.
• Assist with packaging, labelling, and in‑process checks.
• Report non‑conformances to management or QA teams.
• Conduct environmental monitoring once qualified.
• Ensure accurate documentation in line with data‑integrity requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail.

• Consistent performance of repetitive tasks.
• Good level of English proficiency.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
