General Sales Manager

About the role

Arnold Clark is seeking a proactive General Sales Manager to lead and grow its Chertsey Motorstore. You will be responsible for driving sales volume while maintaining the company’s high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive the highest quality service at all times.
• Train, coach and motivate the sales team to meet monthly sales and CSI targets.
• Maintain excellent presentation standards in‑store and across digital channels.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, recruit new staff and manage staff development.
• Oversee the sales department’s profitability, controlling volume and margin KPIs.

Required profile

• Previous management experience within a car dealership.
• Strong communication, influencing and leadership abilities.
• High accuracy, organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Proven track record of increasing sales volumes in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Positive, motivated and empathetic attitude with a clean full driving licence held for at least one year.
