Geotechnical Project Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established geotechnical and ground investigation consultancy in London to recruit a Geotechnical Project Manager. The role offers the chance to lead a variety of infrastructure, commercial, residential and energy projects across the UK, overseeing each project from initial enquiry through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple geotechnical ground investigation projects simultaneously.
• Prepare quotations, project programmes and technical proposals.
• Coordinate site investigations and supervise project delivery.
• Control project budgets, resources and timescales.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Review factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing geotechnical or ground investigation projects.
• Strong knowledge of site investigations and geotechnical engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and client‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
