Global Ecommerce Director

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing consumer brand to appoint a Global Ecommerce Director who will shape the next phase of international expansion. This senior, hands‑on role sits at the intersection of ecommerce, technology, brand and customer experience, driving digital innovation across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global ecommerce strategy that supports ambitious international growth.
• Own all ecommerce trading activity, delivering a best‑in‑class digital calendar to maximise revenue and engagement.
• Lead the optimisation and evolution of the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring a seamless, high‑converting customer journey.
• Drive continuous improvements in conversion, average order value, customer lifetime value and retention.
• Partner with Performance Marketing, CRM and Brand teams to deliver integrated acquisition and retention programmes.
• Use data, customer insight and experimentation to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial decisions.
• Champion innovation in merchandising, personalisation, UX and onsite optimisation.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing ecommerce team.

Required profile

• Proven track record scaling direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) brands through Shopify.
• Experience in a high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment with a commercial mindset.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders across brand, product, marketing and operations.
• Data‑driven decision‑making and a passion for continuous improvement.
