GMP Cleaning Operative – Manufacturing

About the role

The GMP Cleaning Operative will ensure manufacturing equipment and production areas are cleaned to Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Working on‑site at the Whiddon Valley Industrial Estate, you will support a safe, high‑quality environment for production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Clean production equipment and manufacturing areas following SOPs and work instructions.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment safely for thorough cleaning.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, health & safety, PPE and environmental requirements.
• Complete cleaning documentation in line with ALCOA data‑integrity principles.
• Inspect equipment to confirm cleanliness and readiness for production.
• Report defects, deviations or non‑conformances promptly.
• Keep housekeeping standards high and store cleaning materials correctly.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning stock levels.
• Assist with production changeovers and scheduled deep‑cleans.

Required profile

• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical, methodical approach.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Good health and fitness for indoor manufacturing work.
