About the role
This graduate position offers hands‑on experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school in Slough. You will work alongside teachers and SEN professionals to deliver personalised interventions and help pupils overcome learning barriers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions tailored to pupils’ additional learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs.
- Adapt learning activities so each child can access the curriculum confidently.
- Encourage pupils’ social, emotional and academic development through consistent, positive support.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Build collaborative relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or a related field.
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Patient, resilient and eager to develop practical school‑based skills.
- Considering a future career in education, educational psychology, therapy or another child‑focused profession.
- Previous experience with children is beneficial but not essential.
