Graduate Commercial Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Commercial Analyst to join our client’s team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates in mathematics, economics, finance or a STEM discipline who have a passion for data and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update energy price charges, ensuring forecasts align with market developments.
• Support the development and maintenance of price books and bespoke pricing models for the Commercial team.
• Track market trends and competitor pricing, sharing insights to keep pricing competitive.
• Analyse data and prepare reports to aid decision‑making across Commercial, Finance and Sales.
• Monitor customer and portfolio performance using established reporting tools.
• Maintain and update energy cost assumptions and forecasts.
• Assist Sales teams with contract pricing queries and prepare accurate quotes.
• Produce regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and data quality.
• Support system updates to reflect pricing and commercial requirements.
• Manage the shared team mailbox, ensuring timely responses to queries.
• Build effective relationships across the business and with external partners.

Required profile

• Graduate in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
• Passion for problem solving and data‑driven decision making.
• Self‑starter, motivated and eager to learn.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
