Graduate Fire Safety Engineer

About the role

Hollis, an independent real estate consultancy, is recruiting a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer to help clients navigate the fire safety challenges of the built environment. The role can be based in Glasgow, London or Manchester. You will work alongside experienced Fire Safety Engineers and technical experts on projects that protect people, support compliance and improve building performance, with early responsibility and direct client exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Support fire safety projects across the property lifecycle, including fire safety strategies, specialist fire risk assessments and fire safety inspections
• Contribute to projects from inception to completion, covering different stages of project delivery
• Assist with proposals, technical reports and client deliverables
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions and support client relationships
• Develop an understanding of business development and commercial awareness
• Stay up to date with fire safety legislation, regulation and industry developments
• Take ownership of your own continuous professional development

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline such as Fire, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aeronautical, Structural Engineering, Physics or Chemistry
• Strong written and verbal communication, research and analytical skills, and attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple priorities
• Interest in the built environment and willingness to learn and seek feedback
• Full driving licence preferred but not essential

Required skills

• Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while owning individual tasks
