Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Croydon)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic recent graduates to join a supportive primary school in Croydon as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This term‑time, full‑time position offers hands‑on classroom experience and a pathway into a career in education or other child‑focused professions.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range alongside experienced teachers.
• Assist with learning activities, behaviour management and social development.
• Help prepare and deliver classroom resources and organise daily routines.
• Provide support across different year groups and areas of need as required.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in any capacity (e.g., coaching, tutoring, youth clubs).
• Enthusiastic, energetic and eager to make a positive impact.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Resilient, proactive and willing to learn.
• Considering a future career in education, educational psychology, social work or a related field.
• Holding a degree or currently studying towards one (desirable but not essential).
