Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary (Sept Start)

About the role
We are looking for a recent graduate who wants to start a career in primary education. This full‑time, term‑time position begins in September at a high‑achieving primary school in Tower Hamlets, East London. You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions to individual pupils or small groups.
- Assist teachers with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Required profile
- Graduate with at least a 2:2 degree.
- Previous paid or voluntary experience working with children (tutoring, mentoring, youth work, etc.).
- Strong interest in becoming a qualified teacher.
- Confident, patient and able to build positive relationships.
