Groundworker – Temporary Construction Role

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a busy construction project in Consett, County Durham. The role is temporary and offers an immediate start for a reliable operative with a solid background in civils and groundwork.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out deep drainage and pipe‑laying works.
- Install kerbing, edging, flagging and slab finishes.
- Prepare sub‑base and perform general site enabling tasks.
- Assist machine operators and adhere to health‑and‑safety procedures as part of a team.
Required profile
- Proven experience in both deep drainage and kerbing.
- Valid CSCS card; CPCS/NPORS for dumper or roller is a strong advantage.
- Own full set of PPE and standard hand tools.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to safety.
