Group Chief Digital Officer

About the role

The Group Chief Digital Officer will lead digital strategy and transformation across Barts Health NHS Trust and the North East London Integrated Care System. Reporting to the Board, this senior executive will embed digital technology as a core enabler of safe, high‑quality, and equitable care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Trust’s digital portfolio.
• Deliver major digital transformation programmes, including Electronic Patient Record optimisation.
• Develop resilient, secure digital infrastructure and advance data, analytics and digital capabilities.
• Oversee commercial, financial and operational aspects of digital initiatives.
• Build effective partnerships with clinicians, system partners, industry and academia.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience leading large‑scale digital transformation in complex, regulated environments.
• Proven track record in Electronic Patient Record optimisation and commercial leadership.
• Ability to influence at Board, system and national level.
• Values‑led leadership with a commitment to inclusive and equitable healthcare.
