Group Financial Consolidation & Reporting Manager

About the role

This senior position sits within the Group Consolidation & Reporting team of a FTSE100 engineering group. You will be responsible for delivering accurate consolidated financial statements, driving automation, and supporting the evolution of the group’s reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of consolidated financial reporting for all group entities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Produce commentary, analysis and reporting of group results (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Promote an automation culture by implementing reporting efficiencies, dashboarding and custom reporting tools.
• Enhance the control environment, manage testing plans and support internal controls.
• Develop and maintain TM1 models to modernise the reporting system.
• Provide training and expertise to finance users to improve data gathering and reporting efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with local finance teams across operating businesses to ensure accurate actuals and forecasts.
• Automate validation of financial data for reporting windows such as statutory packs and management accounts.

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in finance reporting or consolidation.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• TM1 (or similar corporate performance management tool).
