Group Financial Controller

About the role

This senior finance leadership position is based in the United Kingdom and sits at the heart of a fast‑scaling global technology company. You will safeguard financial integrity, drive robust governance and provide strategic financial insight across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end financial control, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including statutory accounts.
• Design, implement and continuously improve financial policies, controls and governance frameworks for a global operation.
• Oversee balance‑sheet integrity, reconciliations, journal reviews and the financial close process.
• Manage external audit relationships and act as the primary contact for auditors, tax authorities and external advisors.
• Drive finance‑system enhancements, data‑quality initiatives and adoption of automation/AI tools.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and evolving regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of precision and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Extensive senior accounting or financial control experience, preferably in a global technology or SaaS environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Deep expertise in IFRS and complex multi‑entity financial reporting.
• Proven experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and advanced Excel/data‑analysis capabilities.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, audit processes and international governance frameworks.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
