Group Financial Controller – Media

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead the finance function for a leading media and entertainment business, supporting European operations and reporting directly to the COO. This senior position combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day team management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse group consolidated reports, P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage group budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting.
• Oversee client reporting, brand analysis and projection preparation.
• Produce monthly management accounts for all group functions.
• Lead statutory accounting, audit coordination and tax compliance.
• Drive ad‑hoc financial analysis and support business decisions.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
• Coordinate with department heads, ensure process improvements and track deals/sales.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in a UK GAAP environment, preferably within media or entertainment.
• Strong background in group consolidations, inter‑company transactions and taxation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a controls‑based setting and to influence senior stakeholders.
