Group Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Group L&D Manager will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning solutions across Rentokil Initial, ensuring managers and leaders have the capabilities needed to execute the company’s strategy. Reporting into the Group Talent team, you will manage a small content creation team and an L&D advisor while remaining hands‑on in creating and facilitating training.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end training cycle: needs analysis, content creation, programme coordination, facilitation, assessment and ROI evaluation.
• Design, develop and deliver learning modules, courses and digital programmes covering critical skill areas such as digital, innovation, collaboration, resilience and negotiation.
• Build and maintain a career‑mapping framework linked to skill‑development pathways.
• Manage the LMS supplier relationship and partner with HRIS support to operate the digital learning platform.
• Provide best‑practice guidance and learning advisory support to regional teams in a devolved global model.
• Stay current with L&D trends and ensure interventions are scalable, cost‑effective and aligned with future workforce needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading L&D initiatives and managing small specialist teams.
• Hands‑on delivery expertise with confidence across the full training lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all organisational levels.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on measurable impact and ROI.
