Group Legal Counsel

About the role

We are a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company operating across Africa and the Middle East. The Group Legal Counsel will join our London team to provide pragmatic, commercially‑focused legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters, supporting business growth and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Legal team on commercial legal matters across the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and other commercial agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risk, contractual obligations and commercial considerations.
• Assist with strategic initiatives, including financing transactions, M&A activities and business development projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
• Manage legal documentation and ensure contractual compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of legal governance processes and standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience.
• Training experience from a leading international law firm or in‑house legal environment.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Excellent technical legal capability combined with strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage evolving priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• LLB or equivalent degree from an internationally recognised university; completion of LPC or SQE qualifications.
