Group Tax Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a Group Tax Manager to join a leading international speciality insurer in London. This permanent, hybrid role offers the chance to move from a public practice or a smaller in‑house team into a senior position with broad responsibility for the group’s tax function.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee UK corporate tax compliance, reporting and filing for the entire group.
• Provide project‑based tax advisory services across the business.
• Collaborate closely with finance teams and external advisers on group reporting and compliance processes.
• Support VAT and international tax matters where required.
• Assist the Head of Tax in developing tax strategies and managing the two‑person tax team.

Required profile

• Fully qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA) with a strong grounding in UK corporate tax.
• Experience in a leading accountancy practice or an in‑house tax function.
• Ability to work independently in a small team and liaise with external advisors.
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
