Group Travel Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Group Travel Sales Manager to own and grow our private groups programme. You will manage the full customer journey, from crafting bespoke travel proposals to ensuring a memorable experience for each group. The role offers autonomy within a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales, revenue and profitability targets for the private groups programme.
• Convert enquiries into bookings through consultative selling and excellent customer service.
• Prepare quotations, bespoke itineraries and travel proposals.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with group organisers, clients and partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing partnerships.
• Source, negotiate and contract accommodation, transport and destination services while ensuring supplier performance and sustainability standards.
• Oversee pricing, costing and profitability of group bookings.
• Maintain accurate booking information, contracts and pricing in company systems.
• Coordinate operational delivery of group tours and proactively resolve issues.
• Produce weekly sales and performance updates.
• Lead, coach and develop a part‑time team member, including recruitment and performance management.

• Commercially minded with a strong drive to meet sales targets.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences in travel.
• Ability to work collaboratively across product, marketing, sales and operations.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
