GSE and HGV Mechanic – Gatwick Airport

About the role

We are seeking experienced GSE and HGV Mechanics to join a busy engineering team at Gatwick Airport. The successful candidate will maintain and repair a wide range of ground support equipment and specialist airport vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient airport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on GSE, HGVs and other specialist machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out breakdown response, emergency repairs and routine servicing.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation in line with airport regulations.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with airside security requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience with ground support equipment, heavy goods vehicles, plant and PSV machinery.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding ability and electrical diagnostic experience.
• Ability to work independently, reliably and with a safety‑first mindset.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an airside security pass and pass criminal record checks.
