Head of AI & Automation

About the role

SF Partners is a fast‑growing e‑commerce group based near Leeds, seeking a hands‑on Head of AI & Automation to own and accelerate its AI roadmap. Reporting directly to the board, you will translate strategic ambitions into practical, technology‑driven solutions across the whole organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver a company‑wide AI and automation strategy, prioritising projects by commercial value and ROI.
• Design, build and deploy AI solutions using large language models such as OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.
• Identify and automate manual processes across sales, customer service, operations, finance and reporting.
• Create connected workflows between SaaS platforms using APIs and automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.).
• Enhance business intelligence, reporting and data accessibility.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, recommend tools and vendors, and develop internal capability.
• Champion AI adoption, helping teams understand and leverage new technology.

Required profile

• Commercially minded AI and automation specialist with a proven record of delivering measurable business impact.
• Hands‑on experience building solutions with LLMs, APIs and automation platforms.
• Background in e‑commerce, retail or other fast‑growth digital environments.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence at senior leadership level.
• Builder mentality with a passion for continuous improvement.
