Head of Business – Automotive Dealership

About the role

The Head of Business will lead a flagship automotive dealership in Leeds, taking full responsibility for commercial performance, operational discipline, and the customer experience. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape culture, drive profitability and ensure the business delivers consistent, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the dealership’s overall commercial, operational and customer performance.
• Lead, develop and hold accountable the senior management team across all functions.
• Drive profitability, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
• Manage the customer experience strategy, including online reputation, review scores and retention.
• Analyse financial, operational and customer data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Oversee stock management, forecasting and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance, governance and operational standards are consistently met.
• Implement strategic initiatives to improve performance and maximise returns.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in an automotive retail or similar high‑volume environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering financial results.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and foster a high‑performance, customer‑first culture.
• Excellent analytical skills and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Experience managing stock, forecasting and resource planning.
• Commitment to compliance, governance and operational excellence.

• Basic salary £70,000‑£85,000 plus OTE £120,000‑£135,000.
