Head of Communications – Global Law Firm

About the role

The firm is seeking a dynamic Head of Communications to shape and deliver its global communications strategy. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, you will lead a team of communications professionals and partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy that supports business and marketing objectives.
• Strengthen brand awareness across established and emerging markets and lead the firm’s social media strategy.
• Manage external content and media agencies, draft press releases, pitch stories, and prepare award submissions.
• Identify and promote thought‑leadership opportunities to reinforce market position.
• Design and deliver an internal communications strategy that ensures all employees understand the firm’s vision, goals and achievements.
• Collaborate with Executive Committee members and senior leaders to support strategic communications across departments.
• Enhance internal channels such as the intranet, webinars and town‑hall meetings.
• Lead communications for CSR, DE&I, wellbeing and alumni initiatives.

Required profile

• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with strong drafting ability.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leadership.
• Strong leadership experience managing a communications team.
• Deep understanding of PR, social, digital and content marketing.
• More than 10 years’ experience in a senior communications role, ideally within an international professional services environment.
