Head of Enterprise Applications & IT Operations (Dynamics 365)

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to own and optimise our enterprise technology platforms, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The role is based in Leeds and requires a hands‑on approach to both application development and day‑to‑day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own, configure and continuously improve the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment.
• Provide hands‑on support, troubleshooting, testing and release management for the ERP system.
• Manage the broader enterprise applications landscape, ensuring reliability and alignment with business needs.
• Oversee integrations between Dynamics 365 and other critical systems.
• Lead the IT operations function, including user support, Microsoft 365 services, device management and workplace technology.
• Maintain relationships with external technology providers and ensure service delivery standards.
• Develop internal IT capability through coaching, documentation and process improvement.
• Identify and drive opportunities for business process automation and data‑driven improvements.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Strong background in enterprise ERP platforms, particularly finance, procurement and operational workflows.
• Experience leading or mentoring IT/application teams.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical staff and business stakeholders.
