Head of Evaluation & Insights

About the role

The Head of Evaluation & Insights will lead the evaluation function for Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex, supporting health and care teams across the region to understand the impact of new technologies, service redesigns and other innovations on patients, professionals, budget holders and the wider system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an evaluation strategy that delivers rapid insight generation, evidence synthesis and mixed‑methods service evaluations.
• Collaborate with local health and care organisations, innovators and stakeholders to define evaluation objectives and metrics.
• Produce clear, evidence‑based reports and recommendations to inform adoption and spread of proven innovations.
• Manage a portfolio of evaluation projects, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality outputs.
• Travel across Kent, Surrey and Sussex (and occasionally beyond) to engage with partners and gather data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health‑care evaluation, research or related analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the KSS geography and work flexibly in a hybrid environment.

What we offer

• Salary £74,000‑£78,000 pro rata per annum.
• Fixed‑term contract for 12 months.
• Hybrid working with a principal base at The Beehive, Gatwick.
