Head of Family Law – Lead Department

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to take over as Head of our well‑established Family Law department. You will enjoy full autonomy, flexible hybrid working and strong administrative support while leading a thriving practice in Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse caseload covering divorce, child disputes, public law children matters, care proceedings, legal aid, domestic abuse injunctions and general family law advice.
• Drive the growth and strategic direction of the department.
• Maintain high standards of client service and case outcomes.
• Collaborate with a dedicated PA and paralegal to ensure efficient case management.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent with significant experience in Family Law.
• Proven ability to manage both privately funded and Legal Aid matters, especially in childcare and children law.
• Leadership experience or ambition to step into a senior managerial role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern case management systems.
