Head of Finance – 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract (North London)

About the role

Aila Recruitment is seeking a Head of Finance on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract for a fast‑growing manufacturing business in North London. Reporting to the CFO and GM, you will act as a key business partner, driving performance management and financial stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability of local and management accounts and compliance with IFRS, Group standards and reporting deadlines.
• Oversee monthly, half‑yearly and annual close processes, including statutory accounting and management accounts.
• Develop and maintain budgets, business plans and monthly forecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
• Implement KPIs and management procedures to monitor performance and support commercial decision‑making.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategy, assess risks and identify opportunities for financial improvement.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in manufacturing finance, including UK statutory reporting and group reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities.

• Competitive salary £90,000‑£100,000 per annum.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
