Head of Finance and Systems (Deputy Section 151 Officer)

About the role

The London Pensions Fund Authority is seeking a senior finance leader to act as Head of Finance and Systems and Deputy Section 151 Officer. This role combines strategic financial oversight with responsibility for improving finance systems, data quality and IT security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Team and act as Deputy Section 151 Officer.
• Deliver high‑quality finance and accountancy services, including planning, reporting and control.
• Drive the finance systems agenda: optimise financial software, improve data interfaces and automate processes.
• Manage contracts for outsourced IT and cyber‑security services.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management and organisational resilience.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with extensive experience in public‑sector finance.
• Proven leadership of finance teams at a strategic level.
• Strong understanding of Section 151 responsibilities and public‑sector governance.
