About the role

We are partnering with a leading retail business in Greater Manchester to find a Head of Finance. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will steer the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic commercial support.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting, preparing monthly and annual results with commentary and board packs.
  • Ensure all statutory accounts and filings comply with UK GAAP.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, HMRC, banks and investors.
  • Provide commercial support to the business and the Group CFO.
  • Lead and develop a small finance team.
  • Implement financial projects and robust financial controls.

Required profile

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • At least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
  • Proven track record as Head of Finance or Finance Director in retail, consumer or multi‑site businesses.
  • Strong technical, leadership and commercial acumen.
