About the role

This permanent Head of Finance position offers a senior professional the chance to shape financial strategy and operations for a leading London‑based law firm. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive growth, ensure compliance and optimise financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient cash‑flow management and mitigate financial risks.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise overall financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and finance within the professional services industry.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and implement effective strategies.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
• Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
