Head of Financial Accounting

About the role

We are partnering with a high‑growth, multi‑entity organisation operating across the UK to appoint a Head of Financial Accounting. This senior leadership role will oversee financial accounting across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while driving financial controls and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities across multiple entities, including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting.
• Manage the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and consistency across finance systems.
• Oversee consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and reporting controls.
• Lead IFRS reporting requirements, including IFRS 16 lease accounting, fixed‑asset accounting and capital expenditure reporting.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance and support internal and external audit activities.
• Build strong business partnerships, providing financial insight to operational leaders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in financial accounting within a multi‑entity environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Strong track record of delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining robust controls.
