Head of Fundraising, Partnership & Growth

About the role

Cherry Trees is seeking a senior leader to shape and execute its fundraising and partnership strategy at a critical growth stage. Reporting to the CEO and joining the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive sustainable income and build the collaborations that amplify support for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising and partnership plan, setting ambitious income targets.
• Lead a diversified portfolio covering trusts, major donors, corporate partners and legacy giving.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with key donors and strategic funders, ensuring high‑quality stewardship.
• Identify and develop new income streams to strengthen organisational resilience.
• Advise the CEO and Board on fundraising strategy, external opportunities and risk.
• Represent Cherry Trees at sector events, building strategic alliances with NHS bodies, local authorities and VCSE partners.
• Provide strategic direction for communications, marketing campaigns and digital presence to raise the charity’s profile.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing fundraising and communications team, fostering a culture of innovation.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in fundraising leadership across multiple income streams.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding ambitious fundraising targets.
• Experience advising boards and senior executives on strategic fundraising matters.
• Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with major donors, trusts and corporate partners.
• Strong track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams.
