Head of Group Accounting

About the role

This is a hands‑on senior leadership position reporting directly to the CFO of a high‑growth, PE‑backed company. You will own the Group Accounting function, drive financial governance and reporting across multiple entities, and act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Own the Group consolidation process across multiple entities.
• Manage statutory reporting, audits, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee treasury, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Strengthen financial controls and improve governance frameworks.
• Develop and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive enhancements to systems, reporting and finance processes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven senior accounting leadership experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong track record of improving processes, controls and governance.
• Ability to work autonomously while influencing senior leaders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• ACA qualification or equivalent.
• Technical accounting expertise in consolidations.
• Statutory reporting experience.
• Audit management experience.
