Head of Impact (Fundraising)

About the role

Zero Gravity is a tech platform connecting students from low-income backgrounds to university and career opportunities, and it runs a charitable fund alongside its core organisation. It is looking for a Head of Impact to take the Fund from well-run to ambitious by personally asking for money from banks, corporates, consultancies and major donors. The role is hybrid in central London (3 to 5 days a week in the office) and pays GBP 50,000 to 65,000.

Key responsibilities

• Ask for money yourself: turn a cold start into a committed corporate partner or major donor, and write and pitch funding propositions
• Build and own relationships with UK corporates, banks, consultancies, foundations and major donors
• Set the Fund's strategy with the CEO and trustees, and design how impact reaches the ground, including AI-enabled delivery models for under-resourced schools
• Produce quarterly trustee board packs and work with the finance team on financial controls, audit preparation and reporting
• Build and lead a small team as the Fund grows

Required profile

• Genuine, demonstrable belief in the mission of closing the gap between talent and opportunity for young people
• Active experience asking for and closing funding from corporates and/or high-net-worth donors personally, with examples from the last five to seven years
• Knowledge of the UK funder landscape and existing relationships with corporates, banks, consultancies, foundations and major donors
• Personal leadership of a small team or operation, and real strategic ability to build a theory of change
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools applied to real problems
