Head of Litigation – Lead Dispute Resolution Practice

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Litigation to lead its dispute resolution practice in Gillingham. This senior position combines complex case management with team leadership, strategic input and practice development.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of civil, property, probate, employment or insolvency litigation matters to a high professional standard.
• Manage cases autonomously while meeting financial and billing targets.
• Provide clear, commercially‑focused advice and ensure cost‑effective case progression.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, overseeing work allocation and development.
• Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and knowledge‑sharing across the department.
• Support business development, networking and client relationship building.
• Maintain strong billing discipline, financial control and compliance with risk procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) in England & Wales.
• Ideally 10+ years post‑qualification experience, or equivalent strong background.
• Proven experience managing complex cases and supervising lawyers.
• Strong technical litigation skills, commercial awareness and sound judgement.
• Excellent communication, organisational ability and IT competence.
• Professional, collaborative approach with high client‑care standards.
