Head of Litigation – Senior Solicitor (Partner Level)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Litigation to take full ownership of our thriving litigation department in Oldham. This senior position will lead a mixed portfolio of commercial and civil matters while shaping the future direction of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a varied caseload of commercial disputes, contract litigation, shareholder and company disputes, civil boundary disputes, and inheritance matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior fee earners, including a solicitor progressing through the SQE route.
• Maintain high standards of client care and contribute to the firm’s growth and reputation.
• Collaborate with senior partners and support internal referral work.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with significant litigation experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex commercial and civil disputes.
• Leadership or supervisory experience, or readiness to step up.
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
• Ambitious, organised and confident in leading a department.
