Head of Marketing and Communications

About the role

The Head of Marketing and Communications will provide strategic leadership for NATO DIANA’s communications, marketing, branding and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role shapes the organisation’s public profile across the Alliance and the wider innovation ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine marketing, communications and branding strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
• Advise senior leadership on issues management, reputational risk and emerging communications challenges.
• Lead proactive and reactive media relations to increase DIANA’s visibility.
• Oversee the digital communications strategy, including website, social media channels and digital engagement.
• Guide public engagements, stakeholder communications, branding and strategic messaging.
• Direct the creation of strategic narratives, storytelling, content and multimedia that showcase DIANA’s mission and impact.
• Manage communications, marketing and media activities supporting organisational events.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in marketing and communications, preferably within a multinational or defence‑related environment.
• Strong advisory capability to senior executives on reputation and crisis communications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of crafting compelling narratives.
